Our hogget is slowly & carefully grown from our hardy flock of Black Welsh Mountain ewes and fed purely on forage throughout their lives. Hogget is a more mature meat than lamb, aged between 1-2 years giving it a deeper flavour, whilst still remaining tender.
Our hogget is available as a whole or half carcase, professionally butchered and packed ready for your freezer. A half typically weighs 8-9kg once butchered and will consist of:
- 2 leg joints
- 2 shoulder joints
- Approx. 4 packs of 4 chops
- 1 pack of mince
- Liver and kidney if requested*
This will comfortably fit in a standard freezer drawer.
